Sons of Liberty will receive its UK premiere on History this June it has been announced.
Following on from the finale of Vikings season 2, Sons of Liberty boasts an all-star cast that includes Ben Barnes (Dorian Gray) , Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Henry Thomas (Betrayal), Rafe Spall (One Day) and Michael Raymond-James (Once Upon A Time).
Sons of Liberty follows the legendary story of a defiant and radical group of men as they join together in secrecy to spark one of the most famous revolutions in history and ultimately make America a unified nation. Based on historical events, this new generation of young American men struggling to find purpose with their lives decide it is time for equality, but in their fight find something greater and change the face of history. This group of rogues become rebels and these rebels became heroes.
The show featured a score by Academy-award winner Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception).
Sons of Liberty begins in the UK on Tuesday 2 June at 10pm exclusive to HISTORY.
