Reverend Richard Coles is the second to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2017

Reverend Richard Coles and his partner Dianne Buswell waved goodbye to Strictly Come Dancing 2017 this weekend following a spectacular Movie night.

The couple found themselves in the bottom two opposite Simon Rimmer and his partner Karen Clifton. Both couples performed their routines again in the dance-off and it was over to the judges to decide who was going home.

Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Head Judge Shirley Ballas all decided to save Simon and Karen, meaning that Reverend Richard Coles and Dianne Buswell were going home.

Talking about his time on the show Richard said: ā€œItā€™s been a joy. Every minute of it Iā€™ve enjoyed, even when Dianne was hissing through her teeth ā€œfeet, frame, feet, frameā€, itā€™s been completely joyous. I only forgot to reckon into my strategy that I canā€™t actually dance!ā€

Dianne added: ā€œI have had the time of my life and he is a friend for life.ā€

The results show featured a Disney themed performance from the pro dancers plus a musical performance from the award-winning Sheridan Smith singing My Man from the movie Funny Girl.

The remaining thirteen couples will take to the dancefloor again next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One at 6.45pm.
