How Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) thought it would be a good idea to throw a family birthday party for Conor (Devon Bagby) in last week’s episode is beyond us.
Of course the well-intentioned but ill-advised decision brought plenty of conflict as Ray tackled Terry (Eddie Marsan) about moving to Ireland and closing down the gym, Bunchy (Dash Mihok) got hit on by his male support group friend and Mickey (Jon Voight) angered Daryll (Pooch Hall) by showing Conor too much favouritism.
On top of that Abby (Paula Malcomson) was still changing her mind about her almost affair with Jim (Brian Geraghty) and Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) got back at her mother by telling Ray that she thought she was having an affair with someone.
The next episode of the season is Sunny. While Lee (Peter Jacobson) reneges on Ray’s deal with Cookie (Omar J. Dorsey), journalist Kate (Vinessa Shaw) reopens her investigation into the Donovan clan.
