Rare collection of Sir Roger Moore photos from The Saint go on sale

Los Angeles fine art publisher Classic Stills releases twelve rare photos of Sir Roger Moore, taken during the filming of classic 1960s TV show, The Saint, in which Sir Roger played Simon Templar to worldwide success and acclaim. The collection of images, sourced from ITV’s photo archives, has never previously been available for purchase.

The limited-edition prints are on sale now, marking 55 years since The Saint first aired on ITV. The collection includes photos of Moore on the set of the show, behind the scenes, and in rarely seen publicity shots.

150 framed prints of the twelve images will be available in three sizes, with prices starting at £229.

Classic Stills CEO, Rene Freling, said: “Most fans of Sir Roger will have never seen these stunning images. We’re honored to make them available as fine-art prints for the first time.”

When asked to account for the extraordinary success of The Saint, producer Lew Grade famously said, “Three things. Roger Moore, Roger Moore and Roger Moore.”

Sir Roger Moore’s career in film and television spanned more than six decades. His role as Simon Templar in The Saint made him a household name long before he took on the role of James Bond. The actor was also known for his charity work, serving as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from 1991, and was knighted for his services to charity in 2003. He died in May 2017, aged 89, leaving an amazing legacy. His final volume of autobiography, À bientôt…, was released this year.

The images will be sold exclusively through Classic Stills. See the collection at: https://classicstills.co.uk/collections/roger-moore.
