Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland coming to Lifetime this month

A new original movie focussing on the life of Michael Jackson will air on Lifetime on 25th June.

Searching for Neverland is based on the book, Remember the Time: Michael Jackson and His Final Days and is told from the perspectives of the great man’s bodyguards; Bill Whitfield played by Chad Coleman (The Wire, The Walking Dead) and Javon Beard played by Sam Adegoke (Switched at Birth, Murder in the First).

The movie will show Michael Jackson in a previously unseen role as a devoted parent and show the drama of his final two years. The film will detail Jackson’s financial troubles which directly led to his death during the ‘This Is It’ tour and hopes to shed light on what actually happened to the King of Pop.

It will also reveal previously unknown details of Jackson’s lifestyle, for example (to serve as a teaser) the fact that he used to bring his own hot sauce and spray butter to the movies.

Starring Navi, the world’s foremost Michael Jackson impersonator, Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland will be broadcast exclusively in the UK on Lifetime but has already screened in America with viewing figures topping 2 million people.
