It’s felt like a long wait since the bomb dropped that Maggie (Kelly McCreary) was Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) half-sister on the season 10 Grey’s Anatomy finale.
Season opener I Must Have Lost it on the Wind is directed by star Kevin McKidd and will see Meredith dealing with all kinds of issues following the departure of Cristina (Sandra Oh) and her dilemma with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and his desire to move to Washington D.C. The news that she has another sister is also likely to cause a rather big impact in the new season too but how quickly that reveal comes out we’re not sure yet.
Season 11 marks Caterina Scorsone joining the series as regular Amelia Shepherd following her previous stints in the show and playing the character on Grey’s spin-off Private Practice.
