Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) decided she was leaving Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after finding out Richard (James Pickens Jr) was her father and Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) hostile reception.
Well things changed pretty quickly with the news of Maggie being Meredith’s half-sister spreading to Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson). Derek took it upon himself to try and smooth things over whilst Meredith revisited her mother’s journals to try and remember if she knew her mother had been pregnant.
The end of the episode saw Meredith reach out to Maggie sharing’s Ellis’ (Kate Burton) journals so she could start to learn more about their mother.
Elsewhere in the episode Alex (Justin Chambers) discovered that Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) had lied to him about the board vote and that everyone unanimously voted for Bailey.
The next episode of the season is Bend & Break. Focus falls on Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona as they examine the problems in their relationship while coming under pressure at the hospital.
