What a week it was in Emmerdale last week! Poor old Katie, got her proof Robert was having an affair and then he shoved her and she fell through some rotten floorboards to her death only to be found at the end of Friday’s episode by Andy.
This week sees the aftermath.
The Village is in shock
Robert and Victoria head to Wylie’s where they find Andy in shock and he tells them that he thinks Katie is gone. Robert tries to comfort him and find out what has happened (even though he knows exactly what happened!). As the news spreads about Katie’s death, Aaron is left in turmoil over the weight of the secret he holds. As everyone tries to get back to normality, he is desperate to tell the truth, but will he cave in?
Andy is struggling and Debbie leaves the kids with him hoping it’ll be what he needs, but when Sarah starts asking questions, it’s all too much for him and he has to ask Debbie to take the kids away.
Will Belle suffer the same fate as Katie?
Sam breaks the bad news to Belle, Zak and Lisa and although she pretends to be alright, Belle is clearly troubled by Katie’s death. She secretly washes one of her pills down the drain and later pretends to take one in front of Lisa but really throws it away.
Moira finds her and can tell she’s struggling to come to terms with what’s happened.  Belle is even more distressed when she later sees Lisa out of breath and having to taking her medicinal spray. That night she creeps downstairs after everyone’s gone to bed, carrying a bag over her shoulder. She doesn’t want to leave, but ‘Gemma’ has left her no option.
Zak and Lisa are distraught when they realise that Belle is missing and hasn’t got her medication or her mobile with her. As they get a search party together, young Samson finds Belle and she tells him she’ll hurt him if he tells anyone, so he run away petrified.
It’s at the scene of Katie’s death that Belle is found, tottering dangerously close to the edge of the hole in the floorboards. Looking down she’s panicked at the amount of people watching her and then Lisa suffers an angina attack. Harriet steps in, using her old police training, to try to talk Belle out of doing anything stupid, whilst Cain secretly scales the stairs. As sirens are heard arriving, Belle loses her footing – could this be the second death at Wylie’s Farm in a week?
Emma causes chaos
It’s all twists and turns for Emma Barton since she arrived on our screens. First, her kids wanted her, but she wasn’t sure. Then they fake burgled her house so she’d change her mind and move in with Finn and Ross. Now, Pete has told the family about her attempt to smother Ross when he was a toddler and it seems Finn and Ross want her out of their lives.
James tries to reason with Finn for him to give Emma a second chance, but initially he’s uncertain. However, he does come round and tells Emma that James has persuaded him not to give up on her. Her happiness is short lived when James later tells her in the pub, that he wants a divorce. Angrily she heads to the toilets and rips the towel dispenser clean off the wall, smirking to herself that James’ new flame, Chas, will have to deal with the damage. She then heads back to the table with a different attitude.
Later in the week, she’s narked when she sees James and Adam getting on so well and spies an opportunity to get one over on Adam. A couple arrive at the scrapyard looking to scrap their car, but Adam doesn’t have any cash on him so leaves to go and get some. When the yard is clear, a bitter Emma decides to switch the ‘scrap’ sign from one car to another, causing chaos.

Lachlan relishes the attention Alicia is giving him. Could he be so sneaky as to ruin David’s Valentine’s Day plans?
Marlon is confident that he and Laurel will win their no drinking in February bet with Paddy, but he doesn’t know that Laurel’s been cheating.
Jai tells Priya he was better off at work without her, so she hatches a plan with Kirin to prove him wrong.
