We asked you what you wanted to see more of in our weekly Emmerdale update and you said less catch up more of what’s coming up. We’ve listened and here is a sneak peek into the week ahead.
Adam goes from bad to worse
Last week he managed to antagonise Andy into suing for compensation, quit his job and was dumped by Katie. Surely things can’t get worse for Adam? Well this week he’s certainly trying to prove they can, as he continues on his journey of self-destruction.
Firstly, he discovers that Ross has been on the rob and tells him he wants in on the next job which sees him as the getaway car driver. Adam struggles to hide his terror when Ross goes into a shop and moments later, runs out and jumps into the car. They speed off down the road but Adam is later humiliated to discover just what their job was.
James persuades Chas to offer Adam a job in the bar and after a few failed attempts at pulling pints she decides cellar work may be better, but with James and Adam in a confined space and surrounded by lots of breakable bottles it’s only a matter of time before Adam’s temper comes out. James retaliates leaving Adam out for revenge and he decides to plant a kiss on Chas which she instantly rebukes. Later Cain sees an exchange between Chas and Adam and guesses something has happened and is determined to find out. How will an angry Cain deal with Adam?
Priya gets a proposal that Jai is not happy about
After a couple of failed meet ups, Priya is fast going off the idea of an arranged marriage so when potential suitor Rakesh turns up she’s completely unprepared. Initially she fobs him off but then agrees to meet him much to Jai’s horror as it turns out the pair know each other from way back and had a big business disagreement in the past.
Jai tells Priya she must walk away but it has the opposite effect and the pair announce their engagement. Jai isn’t the only one who is shocked, David is also struggling to understand who this new man is, that’s going to be part of his daughter’s life. Jai tries to convince David to help him make sure the wedding doesn’t happen. He even goes as far as telling him that Priya will be leaving the village with Amba but is there any truth in that?
Andy and Katie to reignite their old romance?
Childhood sweethearts torn apart by Katie’s sleeping with Andy’s brother many years back, the pair have managed to become great friends and definitely still care for each other. This week sees that friendship overstep the mark when Andy’s arm becomes infected and Katie whisks him to the hospital. Andy realises by having missed some of his appointments, he could have made things worse.
He’s still determined to sue Moira for compensation but Katie manages to persuade him to accept Cain’s settlement offer and once home, Andy thanks Katie for her support but an innocent hug soon becomes a kiss. However, they are unaware Bernice is watching.
Bernice is heart broken and tells Diane she’s booked a flight to Australia and it leaves tonight. Diane informs Andy that Bernice is going to Australia. Andy’s sorry to have hurt Bernice but tells Diane that Katie means so much more to him.
Laurel feels confused by Donna’s revelation
It was an emotional scene when Marlon discovered Donna’s cancer secret and the fall out is still being felt this week. Marlon asks Laurel if they can move the wedding forward so that Donna can be there, causing her to feel like Donna’s illness is taking over. Is that the green eyed monster we see?
Elsewhere…
Moira is struggling with the distance between her and Cain and tells him she needs his support. With Adam quitting she offers Pete the job of farm manager.
Finn is going through an identity crisis and manages to lose his job at the B&B.
Daz continues to irritate brother Dan when he books his and Kerry’s wedding and then goes Tiara shopping to get to know his new sister-in-law. It seems Sean is also smitten with his visiting Uncle and decides he wants to leave school and join and the army.
Tracy tells Sam about a dodgy call when her phone begins to ring again. Sam tells her to turn it off but she says she needs the money prompting Sam to offer to pay for her time.
