US medical drama Code Black is returning to the UK in November for its second season.
Kicking off on W on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 at 9pm, the second season welcomes new cast member Rob Lowe (The West Wing) as Col. Ethan Willis. He joins returning stars Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzman and Boris Kodjoe.
Col. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) has been embedded at Angels Memorial by the U.S. Militaryās most elite medical program to teach innovative medicine in a hospital that often resembles the combat zone heās familiar with.
At the heart of the Angels Memorial Hospital ER’s controlled chaos is Residency Director Dr Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden), a stop-at-nothing residency director whose job is to save lives in an often impossible environment. She is known by the group of residents as ‘Daddy’, alongside āMamaā, ER Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman).
The team work under ā and sometimes against ā the iron-hand of ER and OR Director Dr Will Campbell (Boris Kodjoe), a top-tier surgeon who was put in charge of both departments in an effort to save money and simplify administration.
Code Blackās first year residents Angus Leighton (Harry Ford), Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) return, alongside Dr. Heather Pinkney (Jillian Murray). The team are joined by bright-eyed brand new first years Elliot Han (Heroesā star Noah Gray Cabey), Charlotte Piel (Nafessa Williams) and Noa Kean (Emily Tyra).
The second season opens as Colonel Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) takes Dr. Mike Leighton (Tommy Dewey), Angusā brother, on a harrowing helicopter ride to save shark bite victims in Malibu, with terrifying consequences.
