Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) landed himself in hot water with Cliff (Ed Begley Jr.) on the latest episode of Better Call Saul.
After Chuck (Michael McKean) insinuated that Jimmy had been soliciting Sandpiper residents to strengthen their case, Jimmy was forced to find another way to get more residents agreeing to take legal action. After mailouts failed to bring any results, Jimmy decided to shoot a TV ad and aired it in one state without asking Cliff or any of the partners.
Kim (Rhea Seehorn) questioned Jimmy about the ad but he assured her that Cliff supported him. Despite it bringing a lot of business into the firm, Jimmy received a call from an irate Cliff demanding to see him the following morning.
Elsewhere in the episode Mike (Jonathan Banks) kept an eye on Stacey’s (Kerry Condon) house after she claimed to hear gunshots in the night only to find nothing was going on. He later received a job offer, which turned out to be from Nacho (Michael Mando) asking him to ‘take care’ of someone for him.
The next episode of the season is Gloves Off. Jimmy’s actions unexpectedly create waves for Kim. Mike cautiously weighs a lucrative proposal that might bring about dire consequences.
