The latest episode of Bates Motel raised the stakes higher than ever as Norman (Freddie Highmore) was held captive in the middle of nowhere by Nick Ford (Michael O’Neill) and his men.
The troubled teenager was kept in a box in a forest whilst Nick used him as leverage against Norma (Vera Farmiga) so he could force Dylan (Max Thieriot) to kill drug boss Zane (Michael Eklund). Nick got more than he bargained for when Dylan attacked him leaving him for dead.
Elsewhere Romero (Nestor Carbonell) continued to press Norma about Norman’s involvement in Miss Watson’s (Keegan Connor Tracy) murder and Emma (Olivia Cooke) quit the Bates Motel after feeling like everyone ignored her.
The Immutable Truth. A tragic event from the past haunts Norman, as Norma tries to keep him from making a terrible mistake. Romero and Dylan attempt to end the drug war.
