Banshee season 2 Bloodlines recap

The mystery of the Kinaho girl murder and the whereabouts of Solomon Bowman (Gunnar Carrigan) were resolved in tonightā€™s rather bloody episode of Banshee.

If you havenā€™t seen the latest episode of Banshee and donā€™t want any spoilers we suggest you stop reading now. If you have seen it and want to relive all of the action then keep reading.

Lucas (Antony Starr) solved the case of the murdered Kinaho girl in tonightā€™s episode with a little help from Kai (Ulrich Thomsen) and Rebecca (Lili Simmons). He tracked down a friend of Solomonā€™s, Daniel Moses (Conor Donovan), who told him that there was an Amish teacher who had a severe dislike for the boy. Lucas paid the teacher Jonah (Olafur Darri Olafsson) a visit and soon a fight broke out.

Rebecca had discovered the same information from her Amish friend and arrived at Jonahā€™s house just as the fight broke out. She was knocked to the floor as Lucas continued to fight Jonah and get information from him. It was Kai who succeeded though turning up after the fight and employing some bloody torture. His methods paid off and it was revealed that Solomon was locked away nearby and that Jonah had abducted him after murdering the Kinaho girl.

Lucas found Solomon and returned him to his family before taking Jonah to the Sheriffā€™s Department and locking him in a cell. D.A. Alison Medding (Afton Williamson) passed on her congratulations to Lucas but they may have been a little premature after Nola (Odette Annable) took matters into her own hands and killed Jonah in his cell shortly after being asked to leave Bashee by Alex (Anthony Ruivivar).

Jason Hood (Harrison Thomas) proved to be a handful and was under the watchful eye of Job (Hoon Lee) for the episode. Despite being told to stay put in his motel room, Jason couldnā€™t help himself and was found by Job outside of a diner. Later in the episode he picked Rebecca up in a bar and was last seen getting down and dirty with the sexually-charged former Amish girl. Letā€™s see how this one pans outā€¦

Carrie received a bit of a surprise in prison this week. After dreaming of being reunited with her family, Carrie was likely wishing sheā€™d been more careful in what she wished for as she found herself face-to-face with a desperately ill Rabbit (Ben Cross). He promised her it would be the last time they saw each other but does anyone really believe that? Carrie also struggled with the continued silent treatment from her family with Gordon (Rus Blackwell) and Deva (Ryann Shane) refusing to take her calls. Deva was also spiralling as she turned to drugs and bad behaviour to deal with her motherā€™s incarceration.

Things went from bad to worse for Deputy Siobhan (Trieste Kelly Dunn) this week after being tasked with transporting Chayton Littlestone (Geno Segers) to another prison. En route with Deputy Emmett (Demetrius Grosse), Chayton kicked in the protective guard between the front and back seats causing the police car to crash and over-turn. He was then picked up by his gang and smeared his blood on Siobhanā€™s face before asking her to send a message back to Lucas. Siobhan interrupted Lucasā€™ father-daughter moment with Deva as told him what had happened.

Elsewhere in the episode Kai attempted to call a truce with Alex and delivered the teeth of Jonah to him. How long will that peace last? Lucas also asked Job to go to New York to sell the diamonds and see how much money he could get for them.

Banshee continues Mondays at 10.10pm on Sky Atlantic HD.
