Artem Chigvintsev, James Jordan leave Strictly Come Dancing

Artem Chigvintsev and James Jordan will not be returning for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing it has been confirmed by the BBC.

The two popular dancers have exited the show making way for two new dancers Tristan MacManus and Joanne Clifton. Weā€™re sure the news isnā€™t going to be popular with fans of the show as Artem and James were two of the most popular dancers on the show.

No reason has been given for the departure of either dancers. Artem has been part of the dance troupe for Dancing With The Stars this year whilst James has a history of clashing with the show producers and panel.

Also not returning this year is Anya Garnis who partnered Patrick Robinson on last yearā€™s show. She will remain part of the choreography team for the new series.

Natalie Lowe will be returning to the dance floor after missing last yearā€™s series due to injury. She was originally announced as part of the line-up but had to pull out and was replaced by Aliona Vilani who had been dropped from the series.

The latest changes come after Bruce Forsyth announced he would be stepping down and that Tess Daly would take over his role with Claudia Winkleman promoted to her full-time co-presenter.

What do you think about the news Strictly fans? Are you happy that thereā€™s new blood or upset that Artem, James and Anya will be departing the show? Leave your comments in the usual place.
