Sean Hughes brings Penguins to Leeds

Sean Hughes is back on tour following a critically acclaimed and audience packed run of his new show Penguins at The Edinburgh Fringe, where he was awarded the Herald Angels Award for Best Comedy show. Sean has performed all over the world and, as well as being the youngest ever winner of the coveted Perrier Award, he has won a Fringe First for his short plays, Dehydrated and Travellin’ Light.

Penguins is a show full of surprises, hidden twists and recurring themes. Sean takes his audience back to his Dublin upbringing and the utter awkwardness of teenage life, asking questions like ‘why does society tell us how to behave and react?’ and ‘what does it have to do with Penguins?’

Sean Hughes: Penguins is at City Varieties Music Hall on Friday 28th February 2014 at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £15.60. Book online at cityvarieties.co.uk or call box office on 0113 243 0808.
