Robert Powell & Liza Goddard head Black Coffee

Robert Powell, Liza Goddard and Robin McCallum are to star together in Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee.

Robert Powell (Jesus of Nazareth, The Detectives) is to play the part of famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in a UK wide tour of the official Agatha Christie Theatre Company’s 9th production, Black Coffee. He is joined by Liza Goddard as Miss Caroline Amory and Robin McCallum as Poirot’s friend and confidante Captain Arthur Hastings.

Black Coffee was Christies’ first ever play and the only one to ever feature the diminutive detective. Powell takes on the role as the most recent of a long line of distinguished actors including Albert Finney, Peter Ustinov, Ian Holm, Alfred Molina and of course, David Suchet to perform as one of Christie’s most famous creations.

The show plays Windsor for two weeks before touring to 15 venues UK wide.
