Landor Theatre has announced that American musical comedy No Way to Treat a Lady will be their first production of 2014.
The revival will run from Tuesday 21st January to Sunday 9th February 2014. No Way to Treat a Lady is based on William Goldman’s best-selling novel that became an Academy Award-winning movie.
The synopsis for the show is:
Take a seat and watch in anticipation as Detective Brummell of the NYPD chases a murderous master of disguises through New York City, unravelling a complex tale involving an Irish priest, a Spanish dancer, a French waiter, a pizza delivery boy and a pair of dominating mothers! A darkly hilarious musical full of twists and turns, No Way to Treat a Lady is a devilish blend of humour, romance and murder.
The cast features Graham Mackay-Bruce as Morris Brummell, Simon Loughton as Christopher “Kit” Gill, Kelly Burke as Sarah Stone and Judith Paris as Flora Brummell, Alexandra Gill and The Victims.
No Way to Treat a Lady has a book, music and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen and is based upon the novel by William Goldman. It is directed by Robert McWhir with choreography by Cressida Carre, design by Robert Griffin, lighting design by Richard Lambert and musical direction by Nicholas Chave. It is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
