Fiesta (The Sun Also Rises) in West End

Tickets are on sale now for a theatrical adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s Fiesta (The Sun Also Rises).

It’s playing at Trafalgar Studio 2, Whitehall, from 5 February to 2nd March.

Fiesta (The Sun Also Rises) promises explosive theatre fused with live music by Jazz band Trio Farouche. These elements combine with dynamic choreography to form a play that sees the sensual beauty and the raw brutality of Hemingway’s tale of love, loss and decadence.

The roar of the bullring and the smell of sweat & blood will fill the intimate space. The plot sees American writer Jake, one of “the lost generation” post WWI, living a bohemian lifestyle in Paris in the 1920s with fellow expat novelist Robert Cohn. The arrival of the irresistible Lady Brett Ashley throws their lives into turmoil. Jake’s obsession with bullfighting takes them to Pamplona, Spain, to experience the testosterone fuelled world of bullfighting. In the sweltering heat of Spain they meet the beguiling bullfighter Romero and a violent spectacle unfolds.

The cast includes Gideon Turner, Jye Frasca, Josie Taylor and Jack Holden. Fiesta (The Sun Also Rises) is adapted by Alex Helfrecht and Sam Snape, and is directed by Helfrecht too.

Tickets are available from the box office on 0844 871 7632, or from www.atgtickets.com/fiesta.
