The X Factor 2017 week 4 top 3 performances

The X Factor live shows continued last night and the theme was Crazy in Love. Surprisingly the show was packed with high energy songs and not just power ballads.

This weekend the contestants were singing for a chance to record a song with award-winning author, Ali Tamposi and the boys and groups were performing first. I go through my favourite performances of the night below.

3. Lloyd Macey – From This Moment On

Lloyd sounded great last night but I thought the song choice was a bit cheesy. Lloyd did, however, own the song and made it his own and by the end of his performance, I was gripped.

What the judges said: Simon said that Lloyd was a great singer but his performance did not make him emotional this week. Mentor, Louis disagreed and added that Lloyd had a great following and asked them to vote for him.

2. The Cutkelvins – Saved Me From Myself

The Cutkelvins performance felt like a rehash of what the trio do every week. Vocally the band sounded good though and the song suited the band’s energy.

What the judges said: Sharon thought the performance was fantastic, whilst Nicole said she loved it too but wanted to see more chemistry on stage soon.

 1. Rak-Su – Mona Lisa

Every week, Rak-Su seem to get better and better and their original song last night put a smile on my face. I loved the moves and the boys chemistry was perfect on stage. It was a great way to end the night and my favourite performance.

What the judges said: Louis said that the band was brilliant and exciting every week. Sharon thought their song-writing skills were on point whilst Nicole added that their chemistry was amazing on stage.

Last night two acts, Sam Black and Sean and Conor Price, failed to impress the public and were ejected from The X Factor.

Tonight the girls and overs will battle it out for a chance to stay in the competition.

The X Factor continues tonight at 7.30 on ITV.
