Watch father & son complete The Pure Energy Triathlon

Hyundai have released a new video featuring a father and his handicapped son trying out one of their new Eco cars.

The short film tells the story of a father and son who have competed in 257 triathlons and 72 marathons throughout their lives so far. That is an accomplishment on its own but when you consider the man’s son is handicapped it’s a really inspiring story.

After being used to doing sporting events together, the father is now too old to continue but wishes to still race with his son by his side, as he’s done for many years. The video sees them together in a Hyundai Eco car completing The Pure Energy Triathlon.

Hyundai Motor is working to set a new benchmark with the firm belief that green cars are premium. The company is steadily developing technologies to achieve zero emissions and improve eco-friendliness of its cars. It is using direct injection systems that improve efficiency and reduce emissions in gasoline engines, high-efficiency transmissions that deliver excellent fuel economy, and advanced high strength steels that reduce the weight of vehicles.

Cars that do not require any fossil fuel to operate and emit zero CO2 are the ultimate goal of Hyundai Motorā€™s ā€˜Blue Driveā€™ strategy. More specifically, the ā€˜Blue Driveā€™ strategy aims to improve the functionality of automobiles such as performance safety, and convenience while reducing pollution and fuel consumption.
