match.com launches first Android Wear app

match.com has launched its first Android Wear app.

Available now, the app is an extension of the previously released Android Phone app. The new match.com app for Android Wearables provides quick access and easy-to-view features that will help improve members’ user experience when they are on the move.

Through the app users can receive and respond to messages, see notifications about any new activity and respond directly with the app’s voice command feature. Users can also browse online profiles with just their name, picture, age and city with one swipe to the left. If someone takes their fancy they can swipe up to wink to another member, or just as easily swipe down to add them as a favourite.

If a member prefers a bigger screen, they can switch and make notifications, messages and interactions appear on their phone with a tap of a button.

Karl Gregory, Country Manager for match.com UK, comments: ā€œThis has been a really fun and fast moving project with our dedicated mobile team working in collaboration with Google throughout the process. match.comā€™s Android Wear app marks our first steps towards expanding dating into the wearable technology arena, which we see playing a big role in the future of dating services. By embracing innovative technologies such as this we empower our singles with the best and most ways to meet potential dates.ā€

The match.com Android Wear app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store now at
