kSafe, the connected safe, launches on Kickstarter

kSafe is a smart, connected, automatically locking safe. It is designed to help you achieve your goals by keeping you motivated. Simply place something you love into kSafe and set a goal using the dedicated app. The kSafe will unlock after the goal has been achieved, rewarding you for your hard work. There are no overrides.

At launch, there will be three different goals to choose from:

 • Activity Goals: kSafe unlocks after the user has taken a certain number of steps or covered enough distance
 • Location Goals: kSafe unlocks after the user has checked-in to a location such as a gym or school
 • Time Goals: kSafe unlocks at certain times of day, week, month, or after a timer expires

To keep things simple, kSafe can automatically relock and reload past goals; thus making good habit-forming part of the user’s routine. kSafe is designed to appeal to everyone from fitness enthusiasts, to snackers, parents, and students.
We know it is much easier to set goals than it is to achieve them. We can start with the best intentions, but then we become distracted, procrastinate or just lose focus. We turned to research from MIT for a solution. kSafe keeps us focused by making it a game, eliminating options to cheat, and rewarding us.
The kSafe app will available for both iOS and Android devices. In addition to customizing and setting goals, users are able to track and chart their progress. kSafe can pair with existing fitness trackers such as Fitbit, or the app will keep track of steps taken by itself.
