Harvey (Gabriel Macht) took some time out to deal with his mommy issues on the latest episode of Suits.
Encouraged by Donna (Sarah Rafferty), Harvey took a trip to see his mother Lily (Brynn Thayer) and it was anything but plain sailing. A series of flashbacks to his father’s funeral saw Harvey butting heads with Lily when it was revealed that she was still seeing Bobby (Rod Wilson), the man she cheated with.
In the present day Harvey still couldn’t cope with his mother now being married to Bobby but some tough talk from his brother Marcus (Billy Miller) made Harvey realise it was time to move on. He reached out to his mother and the two buried the hatchet.
Meanwhile Mike (Patrick J. Adams) got the job at the law clinic and found out he was supervising a team of law students. He clashed with Marissa (Athena Karkanis), who revealed herself to be strong-willed and stubborn, over her eviction case. Marissa incorrectly believed Mike couldn’t hack it in the corporate world, forcing him to reveal his criminal past to everyone.
On the day of the eviction hearing, Oliver (Jordan Johnson-Hinds) led the team but he didn’t manage to win the case. To buy time Mike gave their client the money to pay for her rent while the team regrouped to find another way to win.
Elsewhere in the episode Louis (Rick Hoffman) dealt with one of Harvey’s clients with a little help from Rachel (Meghan Markle), and Harvey and Louis decided to keep the firm’s name and be interim managing partners until they found their feet.
The next episode of the season is Teeth, Nose, Teeth. Mike faces a race against time to protect a client. Rachel receives a discouraging letter.
