Top 5 Strictly Come Dancing 2016 week 4 dances

Following a week of drama that saw Will Young quit the show, Strictly Come Dancing 2016 came back stronger than ever last night.

Ore Oduba and his partner Joanne Clifton picked up the first 10s of the series for their nearly flawless Jive and topped the leaderboard. Craig Revel-Horwood said that Ore was giving Danny Mac a run for his money and it looks like the competition is about to get even hotter.

I watched back all the dances and have chosen the five that I loved this week. As always I don’t necessarily take into account the scores, I pick based on my own opinions.

5. Louise Redknapp & Kevin Clifton – Foxtrot

Louise Redknapp was commended for her ‘excellent footwork’ this week and to my eyes she didn’t put a foot wrong during her Foxtrot. The routine was lovely, fun and entertaining. Louise is emerging as a serious contender.

4. Daisy Lowe & Aljaz Skorjanec – Rumba

I’ll be honest, I’ve not understood the hype around Daisy Lowe over the past few weeks but tonight she was amazing. Her Rumba was sensual, sexy and so perfectly placed. She has a fantastic chemistry with Aljaz too and is clearly working very hard!

3. Lesley Joseph & Anton Du Beke – Charleston

Lesley Joseph is the one celeb I root for every single week and she never disappoints. Her Charleston was fast and furious, and she danced it better than the majority of contestants who are more than half her age. Inspiring!

2. Danny Mac & Oti Mabuse – Foxtrot

Danny Mac was excellent again this week and he soars in his isolations as well as in hold. Darcey commended him for leading Oti and I was impressed by just how well he can move on the dancefloor. A beautiful routine!

1. Ore Oduba & Joanne Clifton – Jive

There wasn’t really going to be any other contender for the top slot this week was there? Everything about Ore’s dance was WOW, WOW, WOW. Just WOW. Pass me a tissue!
