The search for Kate’s (Jordana Brewster) assistant continued on the latest episode of Secrets and Lies.
Eric (Michael Ealy) and Danny (Kenny Johnson) interrogated the girl that Liam (Graham Phillips) left the office party with and she refused to give up any information. Worried about what Danny may do to her, Eric decided to let her flee to safety. They eventually located Liam at a concert but they arrived to speak to him as Detective Cornell (Juliette Lewis) arrived to arrest him.
Liam revealed that Patrick (Charlie Barnett) had a heated exchange with Kate on the night she died after getting very drunk at the office party. Eric and Danny posted Liam’s bail and kidnapped him so they could get answers.
During the interrogation Liam admitted that he came clean to Kate about being a scammer and had convinced her he wanted to go straight. That didn’t happen and Liam was stealing from clients but he was able to confirm that Neil (Eric Winter) was also up to something shady and had been with Danny’s missing daughter the night of the party.
Eric set up Liam to be arrested and return to prison for the crimes he committed. Neil was lured back to Eric’s apartment and confronted by Danny. He came clean about sleeping with Danny’s daughter but told him she’s a professional call girl. At things heated up Detective Cornell arrived.
The next episode of the season is The Daughter. Detective Cornell reveals more of Kate’s secrets to a suspicious Eric.
