Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) put Cyrus (Jeff Perry) firmly in her sights as she sought to prove he did have the President-Elect assassinated on the latest episode of Scandal.
Flashbacks revealed that Mellie (Bellamy Young) embarked on a secret fling with Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.) during the campaign and Olivia came between them by creating an opportunity for Marcus to become the Press Secretary for the White House.
Mellie discovered Olivia’s betrayal, realising how far she would go to get back into the White House.
Meanwhile Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Abby (Darby Stanchfield) worked together to frame a man for the assassination so that Cyrus could come into power peacefully.
The next episode of the season is Fates Worse Than Death. In the midst of a national crisis, all eyes are on Cyrus as his fate hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, Olivia searches for the truth.
