Alex Gardner - Wednesday 19th May 2010 - HMV Hammersmith Apollo
Alex Gardner continues to land some amazing support slots as the Scotsman continues to make his presence felt.
Already having supported the likes of Mika and Paloma Faith and One Republic, Gardner now turns his hand to supporting the hugely popular Scouting For Girls which will surely see him win more fans over.
Coming on at 8pm tonight, the clean cut looking Gardner was clearly at ease and rather revelling in the large stage offered at HMV Hammersmith Apollo. This was evident he barely stood still for his entire performance, moving around and engaging the crowd as if he were the main act.
He performed debut single I'm Not Mad along with staple songs Yesterday's News, the beautiful There Goes My Heart and Heartbreak. His performance was confident tonight and certainly shows he has come a long way and is posed to make the big leap into becoming a mainstream act.
His band too ran a tight set without any mistakes with Gardner singing his best and sending a few hearts fluttering again as he did for his support slot for Paloma Faith's gig at The Jazz Cafe recently.
Expect to see him filling the likes of Koko Camden and Shepherd's Bush on his own soon.
