Nashville cancelled by ABC after four seasons

Nashville fans have been left surprised by the announcement that the show has been cancelled by ABC.

The musical drama has been on the bubble since it debuted but ABC had previously said that it had no plans to bring the series to an end as it has been a popular hit internationally. Some members of the cast will arrive in the UK next month to tour in support of the show.

Lionsgate TV, the production company behind the show, have announced on Twitter that they are trying to find a new home for the show urging fans to tweet using #BringBackNashville. See their tweet below:

Nashville stars Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson and Aubrey Peeples.

If the show doesn’t get picked up by another network, it will come to an end with its current season which is due to end this month in the US. The fourth season of the show is still to air here in the UK.
