Twin Atlantic the Glaswegian band are re-releasing their single Lightspeed after finally getting some attention from the industry. The band’s been really busy touring the country and Europe these past few months and there are no signs of them slowing down any time soon. What Is Light? Where Is Laughter? was quite popular on the radio and expanded Twin Atlantic’s fanbase. Lightspeed is another taste from Vivarium their current mini-album.
Lightspeed has that classic Twin Atlantic sound. The verse starts off with a heavy bass line and raw guitar riffs. Then you get to the chorus and you are in a completely different universe. The chorus of Lightspeed is quite something with its melodic guitar line and McTrusty’s heavy Scottish accent makes it all even more authentic. In terms of what we heard from the band so far Lightspeed isn’t the strongest tune on the album.
Well it’s a re-release and we liked it the first time around so we like it still. We are glad to see that the rest of the country is finally catching on to Twin Atlantic’s great epic sounds and amazing live shows. On a different note we would be far more interested in hearing other material from the album (Vivarium) as there was plenty there to keep a man happy for a while.
