What can we say about Bad For Lazarus? Really not much all we know so far is that they are a Brighton based band and have a lot of hair action going! Yep these guys are doing it old-school style with long hair ripped jeans and a lot of sweat and tears…well more sweat then tears.
Monday night we had the chance to go and check them out whilst they were performing in Camden.
Camden Head isn’t really the biggest venue around and you can tell its all about the new bands here so there we were all packed and cornered in a small room with the most energetic band we have experienced in a while. Best advice I can give though is stay clear of their line of fire as these guys like to rock hard and that means lots of jumping and moving around the stage. If you manage to avoid the hair, kicks and instruments then you’ll find yourself mesmerized by the energy and charisma these guys seem to have in spades. We have to confess we don’t know much about their music but we did miss their new single Old Rats On a New Ship, which is one of their tamer songs by the sounds of it.
Bad For Lazarus did play a selection of songs including 24, Pink Toothpaste and Tuesday and we enjoyed it all. The crowd was raving and the band seemed to love the stage. There wasn’t a dull moment in the set although we would have enjoyed a little more interaction with the intimate crowd. It was short but sweet!
