Introducing: The Villainy

The Villainy have been around since the band formed in 2013 and quickly gathered online attention for the quality of singer Ted Morris’ lyrics and the incendiary musical backing of Henrik Palm on Guitar, Anton Svensson on Bass and Marcus Carter on Drums.

The media was quick to catch on also with BBCs’ Fresh On the Net picking up the band and so The Villainy started a tour across England during 2014 and all the while also touring in Sweden where most of the band are from.

Following the UK and Sweden tour The Villainy started getting the attention from the likes of Nick Stewart, the man who signed U2 to Island Records. Finally in 2015 Nick signed the band to his management company.

The band is set to release its new single, Where The Beaten Go on 8th July. The bands anthemic debut single with echoes of The National, Springsteen and The Killers. The single will be released via the newly formed Man In The Moon Records (Warner ADA).

The Villainy will embark on a European tour in July and are also set for an appearance at Y Not Festival. Watch this space as this band is tipped off for good things in the near future.

You can listen to Where The Beaten Go on the band’s soundcloud page.
