Tyson – Die On The Dancefloor single review

Before you panic, sleep safe in the knowledge that Mike Tyson, having recently provided us with some bizarre cameo film appearances, is not trying his hand at creating music under his surname pseudonym. Thankfully, he’s leaving that to London native neon funk singer Tyson.

Formerly of synth-soul trio Unklejam, Tyson Speede has turned solo and employed some energetic disco beats to accompany his Scissor Sisters style soprano vocals for fourth single Die on the Dancefloor. Decidedly 80’s but with a darker edge, you would be forgiven for assuming that the song was intended as a soundtrack to the remake of a dance film classic.

Die on the Dancefloor is destined to evoke images of Lycra clad backing dancers a la Fame, but EF thinks that’s ok. Whilst the worlds’ economy flounders, some camp flamboyant fun may just be the simplest solution to forgetting your financial worries.
