Hervé – Better Than A BMX single review

Hervé, real name Joshua Harvey, has created something akin to Benny Benassi’s popular popcorn hit Cinema, in that his latest single, though a lot less catchy and sans a Skrillex remix, is a radio friendly flirtation which provides the listening public with something fanciful and frivolous to sing along to.

Producer by nature, Hervé can usually be seen serving up supercilious remixes, but original offering Better than a BMX doesn’t seem to meet his usual standard and hardcore fans may be left more than a little disappointed. The soft smattering of airy fairy synths over the top of bass thumping beats makes for a confusing mix that sounds suspiciously similar to a David Guetta creation.

The banal lyrics won’t provide you with any philosophical musings to ponder on but at the very least you’ll be able to boogie along with it a bit.
