C2C: Country to Country has reached its final day for 2017 but the Main Stage still had plenty to deliver before the doors shut for another year. Getting things started was Brothers Osborne, who made their UK live debut amid much buzz.
T.J. and John Osborne, who recently reissued their debut album Pawn Shop following their CMA Award win last year, got the party started in the right way tonight. Kicking off with Down Home, the duo played selections from Pawn Shop and delivered a crowd-pleasing set. Itās not the easiest slot to play but Brothers Osborne made it look easy as they had the crowd clapping, cheering and singing along throughout.
Once the opening song was done, the brothers performed the catchy Rum before singing about the virtues of getting high on the aptly named Greener Pastures.
One of the standout moments of the set came on the stripped-back Loving Me Back. The emotive song showcased T.J.ās vocals and allowed the brothersā harmonies to soar. It was one of those spine-tingling moments that youāll always remember and itāll go down as one of the finest performances of the weekend.
Elsewhere in the set Brothers Osborne did a roaring rendition of their huge hit Stay a Little Longer, grooved out to Shoot From the Hip and brought things to a close with the dark and deep bass of It Aināt My Fault.
With tight harmonies, impressive guitar skills from John and a superb catalogue of songs, Brothers Osborne really impressed tonight. I donāt think itāll be long before the brothers are back on UK shores for a headline tour of their own and anyone who is around in London tomorrow should go check them out at the Dingwalls. You wonāt be disappointed.
