X Factor’s Luke Friend signs deal with RCA Records

Former X Factor star Luke Friend has signed a record deal with RCA Records to release his self-penned debut single Hole In My Heart.

Due for release on 30th March 2015 Hole In My Heart was written by Luke with Roy Stride. The track is an ode to heartbreak and unrequited love that stays true to the unique style fans loved during his time on The X Factor.

Leeds-born Luke was raised in Teignmouth in Devon and cites his musical influences as Bob Dylan, Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift and Paolo Nutini. His sound is acoustic-driven, melodic and straight from the heart.

During his time on The X Factor Luke received support from Adele and in the final he performed Anything Can Happen with Ellie Goulding. He finished third place in the competition behind Nicholas McDonald and eventual winner Sam Bailey.

Luke recently toured with The Vamps and is putting the finishing touches to his debut album which is expected to be released later in the year.
