Following the release of his new single Welcome to the Show featuring Laleh yesterday, Adam Lambert took to the American Idol stage to perform the song for the first time last night.
Joined on stage by Laleh, Adam performed the track on the current, and final, season of American Idol. Adam was originally a contestant on the show back in 2009 when he finished as the runner-up.
American Idol is currently in the final stages of its farewell season and a slew of former contestants have returned to the stage in recent weeks. Recently Kelly Clarkson performed an emotional rendition of her new single Piece by Piece, which saw her break down in tears.
Adam will return to the UK in June when he reunites with Queen for a headline show at this year’s Isle of Wight festival.
The final season of American Idol airs on 4Music every Monday and Tuesday from 8pm.
