Two Door Cinema Club search for local heroes

Two Door Cinema Club have embarked on a nationwide search for local heroes ahead of their 12-date UK tour.

From carers to homebound soldiers, to emergency services personnel to tales of individual bravery, stories and local hero nominations, the band is encouraging fans to send in stories and nominate their friends. Alex, Sam and Kev will pick out a local hero from each city on the tour to win two tickets to that show. The band will also share the winnerā€™s story on their website and furthermore, Alex Trimble will take portrait photographs of each hero to display in an online exhibition after the tour.

‘We’re searching every city and town we play in for local heroes to get to our shows on this UK tour. We want to hear fan stories and celebrate the people who give back to their local community or put themselves on the line for other people. We always hear amazing stories from fans wherever we travel to and this time round we want to draw attention to them and share them with more people. We can’t wait to hit the road,’ said Alex Trimble.

The band also want fans to share their stories over Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #TDCCLocalHero.

You can send your nominations to the email addresses detailed below. The band ask that you accompany each story with the contact details of your nominated local hero. Each winner will be contacted two days before the show.
