Rumours were circulating yesterday that The Wanted’s new single would be called Walks Like Rihanna and today that has been confirmed.
The pop fivesome will release Walks Like Rihanna on 23rd June with the music video expected to debut on Tuesday 7th May. The song was co-written and produced by Dr Luke.
Talking about the track Tom Parker said, “We are really excited about this single. We feel it’s a little different from the usual Wanted sound, we’ve stripped it back to pure pop, it’s just a feel good, fun track. Fun is a good word to describe the video too. Let’s just say it’s got a lot of character.”
The release ties in with the recent news that The Wanted will be performing at the Capital Summertime Ball on 9th June as well as Chester Rocks and North East Live.
The first play of Walks Like Rihanna will take place on Monday with pre-orders starting on iTunes from 7th May.
