The Overtones have announced the release of their third album Saturday Night at the Movies on 4th November.
Following the success of previous albums Good Ol’ Fashioned Love and Higher, the band is celebrating the most-loved songs in cinematic history on their new record. Talking about the release Lachie Chapman says, āWe see from our concerts that our fans want to get up, dance and have a great night out. So weāve worked really hard to get the real stonkers in there ā the songs that will put a smile of peopleās faces and a dance-step in their feet.ā
Saturday Night at the Movies will feature songs from films including Grease, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Cocktail and The Jungle Book. Of course The Overtones will put their own spin on them.
Beverley Knight features on the album on Hit The Road Jack. Other tracks on the record include Oh, Pretty Woman, Do You Love Me, Shake A Tail Feather, Who Put The Bomp, We Go Together and Saturday Night at the Movies. The album contains three original compositions – Miss Hollywood, All About You and Superstar – which fit perfectly with the theme.
