Simply Red have been announced as the first act for the Live at Chelsea 2016 concert series.
The British legends, who are currently on their Big Love World Tour as they celebrate their 30th anniversary, will perform classic hits from their back catalogue on Sunday 19th June 2016. Simply Red are led by Mick Hucknall with Ian Kirkham (sax), Steve Lewinson (bass), Kenji Suzuki (guitar), Kevin Robinson (trumpet and flute) and Dave Clayton (keyboards) plus new drummer Roman Roth.
Fans can expect classics such as Stars, If You Don’t Know Me By Now and Fairground.
On performing at Live In Chelsea, Mick said, “I’m thrilled that we’ve got the chance to play in such beautiful surroundings, but the real privilege for us is in supporting the veterans of this country, who have given so much. We can’t wait!”.
Live at Chelsea is hosted in a fully seated auditorium in the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s central courtyard – the Hospital itself was founded by King Charles II in 1682 and is home to the Chelsea Pensioners, 300 retired soldiers.

The historic home is one of London’s architectural gems and offers a stunning backdrop to the world-class artists who will be performing.
“A portion of the ticket sale proceeds will also go towards funding care for the Chelsea Pensioners (retired soldiers) who live here, as well as helping to fund the ongoing maintenance of the Grade I listed site. All who manage to get tickets are guaranteed to experience a very special evening.”
