Sam Smith will release a new version of Lay Me Down as the latest single from his debut album In The Lonely Hour.
Lay Me Down was the song that started everything for Sam when he released an acoustic video featuring Sam and his pianist. Sam has been back in the studio with producers Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice to re-record a new version for single release.
2014 was a stellar year for Sam having sold over 5 million copies of his debut album In The Lonely Hour and picked up countless awards. He’s the first male artist in 34 years, the first UK male artist ever, to receive nominations in the ‘big four’ Grammy Awards categories.
Sam will make a return to the UK live stage in March for another sold out tour ending in three back-to-back shows at London’s O2 Brixton Academy.
