Sam Smith announces Forestry Commission gig

Sam Smith is the latest musician to announce a Forest Live date as part of the annual summer music series organised by the Forestry Commission.

The multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter has had an exceptional 12 months selling over 5 million copies of his debut album In The Lonely Hour, scoring two number one singles – Money on My Mind and Stay With Me – and picking up awards including Grammys and BRIT Awards.

Sam will perform on Friday 3 July at Thetford Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live’s 14 year history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors.
