Prides to release new single in September

Prides will release new single I Should Know You Better on 29th September 2014.

The song is the third release from the band and follows The Seeds You Sow and Messiah.

Singer, Stewart Brock says, ā€œLots of songs are love songs. And lots of our songs are love songs, but we try to approach them from a slightly unconventional angle if we can. ā€˜I Should Know You Betterā€™ is about not trusting your own feelings. How can you be in love with someone if youā€™re still finding out things about them? Itā€™s about doubt and fear and love, all wrapped up together.

It came to life after we listened to The Waterboys ā€˜Whole of the Moonā€™ – that song really informed the way we wanted to go about the lyrics and melody. Itā€™s uplifting, and very poetic, repetitive, rhythmic.ā€

You can catch the band at the following live dates:

1 August ā€“ Leopallooza Festival, Cornwall
2 August ā€“ Ynot Festival, Derbyshire
6 August ā€“ Brixton Academy, London (supporting Blink 182)
