One Direction will release their new single Perfect on Friday 16th October 2015 it has been announced.
The single is the second to be taken from their forthcoming fifth album Made in the A.M. and follows the huge worldwide smash Drag Me Down. The song is produced by Julia Bunetta, Jesse Shatkin and AFTERHRS and written by Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson alongside Bunetta, Shatkin, Jacob Kasher, John Ryan and Maureen Anne McDonald.
Perfect is described as ‘an emotionally charged ironic love song featuring passionate drumming, rousing guitars, shimmering synths and an immense chorus’.
Earlier this year One Direction hit number one on 90 iTunes charts around the world with Drag Me Down. The track also broke streaming records globally and was the first single from the group since Zayn Malik departed.
Last month One Direction headlined at the Apple Music Festival in London and they are currently on the UK and Ireland leg of their On The Road Again Tour. Made in the A.M. will be released on Friday 13th November 2015.
