Natalie Imbruglia makes return to music with Instant Crush

Natalie Imbruglia has unveiled the music video for her new single Instant Crush, a cover of the Daft Punk song.

Instant Crush, was written by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, along with The Strokesā€™ Julian Casablancas who also sang on the original track. The single is taken from Natalie’s forthcoming album Male, due for release on 21st August 2015.

The music video for Instant Crush features Natalie in a Mad Men-esque world. Talking about it she says, ā€œJoe Stephenson, the director is an immense talent. I fell in love with his treatment. The dark stepford wives vibe, and his reference of Gregory Crewdsonā€™s photography. Such beautiful colors and mood. Itā€™s so cinematic and gives the song a whole new dimension.ā€

Instant Crush is the first new music from Natalie since 2007 Greatest Hits release Glorious. Her fourth studio album, 2009’s Come To Life, was cancelled in the UK but released in other territories around the world.
