Melanie C has announced that she will release her new studio album Version Of Me on 21st October 2016.
The follow-up to 2012’s Stages, Version of Me will feature 11 new tracks including Melanie’s recent release Numb. Melanie has worked with longtime co-writers Peter Vettese and Adam Argyle, alongside the young south London production duo Sons Of Sonix.
The official lead single from the album is Anymore, which received its first radio play todayĀ on BBC Radio 2’s The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. Following its first play, Anymore isĀ available to download and stream. Fans can also pre-order Version Of Me now.
āI wanted to make an album that I would listen to now,ā says Melanie. āIām not a leftfield artist, I never will be. I write pop songs, but my aim this time was to approach every aspect of them differently, to be more creative with structure and sounds. Whatever felt right, I went with.ā
Melanie released confirmed that she will not be taking part in the upcoming Spice Girls reunion in a blog post on Love Magazine. The news has divided fans and it remains to be seen if Geri Horner, Melanie B and Emma Bunton will progress their plans for a comeback as a trio.
