Liam Gallagher signs record deal with Warner Bros

Liam Gallagher has signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records UK to release his debut solo album in 2017.

Under the leadership of Warner Bros. Records UK President Phil Christie, the album is described as ‘big, bold and heartfelt’.

Talking about the deal Liam Gallagher said, “Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sounds. Keep the faith!”

Phil Christie, President, Warner Bros. Records UK commented, “Liam’s one of the all-time greats – brilliant, distinctive, controversial and captivating.

The album he’s currently recording is big, bold and heartfelt, and it feels important and culturally relevant. It’s great to be working with Liam, Debbie and UROK on such a strong return for one of the UK’s most loved artists.”

Liam rose to fame as the lead singer for Oasis who sold 77 million records across their seven multi-platinum studio albums. One of the highest-selling bands of all time, Oasis’s second album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? is the fifth biggest-selling album in UK history.

Following Oasis’ split, Liam joined Beady Eye and released two top five records. He has also been working on new Oasis film Supersonic, which is due for release in October.
