Kesha returns with powerful new single Praying

Kesha is making a bold return to music with her new single Praying.

Today the video for the track, which is the lead single from forthcoming album Rainbow, debuted and it’s fair to say the song is a huge departure from what we’ve heard from the singer-songwriter before. Praying was written by Kesha with Ryan Lewis Ben Abraham, and Andrew Joslyn with Lewis producing the track.

The video for the powerful track was directed by Jonas ƅkerlund.

Rainbow will be released on 11th August 2017 on Kemosabe Records/RCA Records and it features a range of collaborators including Eagles of Death Metal (who appear on two tracks), Dolly Parton (who has re-recorded her own hit Old Flams Can’t Hold a Candle to You, which was written by Kesha’s mother) and Ben Folds, who produced the title track.

Over her career to date, Kesha has sold more than 13 million albums worldwide and her debut single TiK ToK was named Billboard’s #1 Hot 100 Song in 2010.

In 2016 she won Billboardā€™s Women in Music Trailblazer Award.
