Original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson appeared on the show’s final season last night to perform the title track from her latest album Piece By Piece.
The singer, who is heavily pregnant, struggled to hold it together while she sang the emotional song. American Idol judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr, along with this year’s contestants watched on in tears.
A couple of times during the performance Kelly stopped to regain her composure and she apologised for not being able to hold back the tears. After the performance she blamed her pregnancy for making her so emotional as Ryan Seacrest comforted her.
