Kacey Musgraves is the penultimate performer on the main stage at tonight’s C2C: Country to Country. Before her performance she sat down to talk to press about her music and her experiences in the UK.
During her time with the press she revealed the meaning behind the title of her song Dimestore Cowgirl. āDimestore Cowgirl has always been in the back of my mind as a phrase. It was said to be when I was 11 or 12. Iāll never forget this woman coming up to me. I was rocking my cowboy hat and about to go on stage and she said āhoney you shouldnāt wear your hat like that you look like some dimestore cowgirlā
When asked about how she finds the UK, Kacey revealed, āThe audiences here clearly love lyricists and songwriters. You can easily get a crowd that talks over what youāre doing.ā
Is she working on her next album yet? āI havenāt started working. Maybe subconsciously Iām always working on something but on tour itās really hard to be creative.ā
She continued, āIām taking some time off in May to write but I donāt have a direction.ā
Kacey Musgraves performs as the penultimate act on the main stage for Day 3 of C2C: Country to Country at 6.55pm today.
